Afropunk Brooklyn- held in Commodore Barry Park was all of this-plus, acceptance, openness, freedom of expression, style, vibrancy, noise, and love. There were music acts- from Janelle Monet, to The Internet, Ice Cube, Angel Haze, Bad Brains, Gallant, TV on the Radio, Fishbone, and Kelela, Vendors for Dayssss, blocks filled with Food; all followed by Reggae, Poetry and Comedy 'After Dark' Events. Two days full of Joy- felt like a day of art in action.
